CONEL Welcomes Councillors as they Visit Enfield Centre

Representatives from Enfield Council visit CONEL’s Enfield Centre to learn more about the college and the Enfield Construction Skills Academy

Two members of Enfield Council paid a visit to The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London (CONEL) on 30 October. Councillor Alev Cazimoglu, Cabinet Member for Health and Social Care, and Councillor Rick Jewell, Cabinet Member for the Environment, spent time at the Enfield Centre following the launch of the Enfield Construction Skills Academy earlier in the year.

During their visit, the councillors met with Capital City College Group’s (CCCG) Executive Principal, Kurt Hintz and CONEL’s Vice Principal, Robin Hindley. They received a tour of the college and were able to take in some of the college’s dedicated specialist teaching areas for Hair and Beauty, Health and Social Care and Engineering.

The visit was part of the on-going partnership between CONEL and Enfield Council. Robin Hindley, Vice Principal at CONEL, said: “We’re tremendously proud to be building and maintaining key relationships through the Enfield Construction Skills Academy while providing excellent opportunities for local people. It’s always rewarding to show local councillors what our partnerships mean in real terms as they visit the exceptional facilities and teaching areas that our students benefit from.”
