Esports Academy

Join the Esports team!

Established in 2020, we are the current reigning Valorant National Champions. Compete and train with other students against colleges from around the country. If you’re not a competitive person, feel free to join up to meet like-minded people and make new friends!

To join the Esports Academy you must be enrolled on a course at Capital City College.

What is the Esports Academy?

Our Esports training centre is equipped with 20 high-end gaming PCs, 144hz monitors and professional gaming peripherals. Joining the academy will provide you with training, coaching and guidance. We offer a place for learners to share ideas and explore their passions with the support of a professional Esports coach.

When do the Esports Academy activities take place?

Every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 4–6pm.

Where is the Esports Academy located?

You can find the Academy in the heart of our Enfield centre.

Does the Esports Academy take part in competitions?

On most Wednesdays we compete in the British Esports Student Championships, facing off against other colleges and schools in a nationwide tournament. Currently, we compete in ‘League of Legends’, ‘Valorant’ and ‘Rocket League’.

How to get involved?

All our full-time courses are part of the academies. Choose a relevant course, and the Academy will work with you to ensure you can access the course. See our full list of courses. If you are unsure which study path to take, check out our level equivalence table.

Depending on the number of signups, your experience, skill level and commitment will be the main factors in joining the official teams.
