Mayor of London Programmes

The Mayor of London’s Programmes supports Londoners to gain the skills they need, to get into careers and the capital’s long-term economic growth.

Mayor’s Skills Academies

We are proudly working with the Mayor of London and a fantastic range of businesses to produce four academy Hubs, supporting the construction, hospitality, digital and creative sectors. Our Mayor’s Skills Academies are all credited by The Quality Mark which identifies our academies to be excellent, industry-relevant training in the capital. The Quality Mark represents our commitment to including a combination of sector specific questions, and wider cross cutting issues like diversity and inclusion, sustainability, Good Work and the engagement of under-represented groups.

Mayor ESF (European Social Fund) Skills Academies

Depending on individual learning situations, we can offer additional support through the Mayor’s ESF Skills Academy to:

  • Incorporate effective careers advice and guidance, job search support, employer contact and occupational profiling to help you find the job that’s right for you.
  • Combine effective wrap-around support, personal support, and employability support to help you become fully confident and develop the experience, skills, and competencies needed to secure employment.
  • Improve your chances of securing employment with organisations that are committed to “Good Work”; to ensure you have regular working patterns and London living wage.
  • Incorporate employer-led training to equip you with the skills that are directly sought by employers.

Multiply supported by the Mayor of London

Launching this year across the UK, ‘Multiply’ is a new government-funded programme to help adults improve their numeracy skills.

Having a good level of maths skills can help you find more job opportunities and lead to higher wages or can help you prepare for further study. They also help in everyday life, for example helping children with homework and budgeting.

If you’re aged 19 and over and don’t have maths GCSE Grade 4/ Grade C or equivalent, you can access free numeracy courses through Multiply to build your confidence with numbers and gain a qualification.

We have partnered with Multiply to offer FREE courses that are designed to fit into your daily life, and we can also offer evenings and weekend classes. We have courses for beginners up to Level 2 which may lead to further study (some courses are fee paying). See our full list of Free Short Courses here.
