Are you looking to apply to a university? Here are the key steps for completing a UCAS application.
We provide our students with a “buzzword” for you to link your UCAS application to the college when you register your account. To obtain your buzzword, contact the careers team at your campus with your student ID number, and we will send it to you.
Key steps
- Visit ucas.com, go to ‘Sign in’ and select ‘Students’
- Go to the 2026 entry and click ‘Create your account’
- Under ‘Register’, add your personal email address, your name, and create a memorable password
- Input the verification code and click ‘Submit’
- Link your application to the college with the buzzword (ask your tutor or contact the careers team for this), click ‘Save buzzword’
- Students in Sixth Form at Angel, Holloway, and Finsbury Park, please complete the Tutor Reference Form. This provides crucial information for your UCAS reference
- ‘Select group’- choose your tutor group
- Complete all the various tiles/sections
- Research courses on UCAS and look at opendays.com
- Add your course choices (you can choose up to five)
- Speak with your tutor about your application, predicted grades and content for their reference
- Write your Personal Statement and upload it to your application (ask your tutor, family, or an adviser to check)
- Pay the fee and inform your tutor that your form is ready for their reference* then click ‘Send’
- Your tutor will then check and authorise your form, and add your reference
- Please go to your campus Careers Centre for a final review and for your form to be electronically sent to UCAS.
*Make sure you complete the form by the deadline.
