With a career spanning over two decades in the further education sector, Angela has held leadership roles across three college groups in three different regions. Starting out as a school teacher, Angela later moved into further education. In 2010, she became the youngest female college CEO at Peterborough Regional College – a record she still holds today. Later, she led Warwickshire College Group, where key achievements included gaining degree awarding powers, securing a Queen’s Anniversary Prize, and overseeing successful mergers.
Angela has taken on non-executive Board roles at Landex, WorldSkills, and the QAA. Her experience also includes serving as a CBI Regional Councillor, an NHS Integrated Care Board member, a Careers & Enterprise Company Ambassador, and a Midlands Engine Board member. Contributions to education policy include giving evidence at Select Committees, hosting Review Panels such as the Augar Review, and speaking at national conferences. Angela also played a leading role in developing the Greater Peterborough UTC, working closely with Anglian Water. Recognition of her leadership includes becoming a Companion of the Chartered Management Institute and a Fellow of the Chartered Institution for Further Education.
