Organisations worldwide realise that TVET can transform the lives of individuals and communities. TVET combines academic theory with hands-on vocational skills and practical experience that can bring education to life. This develops valuable work-based skills and encourages talents to thrive. This training works across diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. It can be a vital tool in reducing poverty and boosting economic recovery and sustainable development.
With CCCT’s celebrated quality of service and abundance of experience in the vocational education sector, we are pleased to share our expertise through our range of TVET consultancy services. We work with our national and international partners to identify specific focus areas which create or rectify a specific area of training or framework. For example, implementing a Quality Assurance framework or developing a training programme which implements Apprenticeship standards. In South East Asia, our TVET consultancy work has supported the reform of national vocational education frameworks in several different countries.
In 2016, Westminster Kingsway College won the British Council’s International Skills Partnerships Award for innovation within a project proposal. The college is partnering with the Multidisciplinary College and Professional-technical state college, both of Astana, Kazakhstan. Our partnership supports the country’s national objective to update its vocational education and training content to meet industry demands. Our project focuses on enhancing employer engagement and introducing entrepreneurship training into the vocational curriculum. Kazakhstan’s National Chamber of Entrepreneurs supports the project and our efforts to widen impact and disseminate outcomes to TVET institutions nationally.
