Our centre in Angel is home to a surprising number of animals and state-of-the-art learning spaces that enable you to be at the cutting edge of scientific learning.
The animal industry is huge and can lead you to many different careers. Our courses will support you to enter the sector directly or take you to university to study animal-related degrees.
At our specialist centre in Angel, we have a bespoke animal care unit, housing a range of small, companion and exotic animals. Our collection includes species such as chinchillas, rabbits, guinea pigs, chameleons, snakes, geckos, spiders, frogs, parrots, toads, newts, degus, hedgehogs, ferrets, snails and many more.
Our courses will allow you to look after, care for and learn about these animals. You will learn all about their natural biology, ecology, physiology, anatomy, health, behaviour and husbandry.
You will gain practical work skills at the same time, including in the workplace. Previous students have done work experience at Heathrow Airport Animal Reception Centre, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and the RSPCA. Your time at college will be further enhanced with trips and visits to conservation areas, zoos and farms.
