Are you interested in a career in engineering or rail? We are proud to introduce Network Rail Academy, partnered with Network Rail, to help 16–19-year-olds build real skills and get on track for a future in the rail industry – even if you don’t yet meet the usual entry requirements.
Designed as a pre-apprenticeship pathway, the Network Rail Academy is dedicated to supporting those seeking education, employment or training aged 16-19 who have a passion for rail and aspire to build a career in the industry.
The rail industry is a fascinating sector to get involved in, and it has great career progression potential. We are offering young people the opportunity to get into railway engineering.
You will enrol in a Level 1, 2, or 3 engineering qualification at the college, with Network Rail working closely to enrich and enhance the curriculum. You will get a chance to learn from people already working in the field what it’s like working in the rail industry, their experiences, career journeys, and industry knowledge, and offering invaluable insight to learners.
You will also benefit from structured mentoring sessions delivered by a Network Rail employee, alongside essential employability and soft skills, including interview techniques, communication strategies, and professional development.
