A Level courses at Sixth Form in Angel

Minimum entry criteria

The general minimum GCSE (or equivalent*) entry requirements to study A Level courses at our Sixth Form are below. Most subjects have additional entry criteria, for example higher grades in subject-specific GCSEs. Please check individual subject pages for full details.

To study 3 A Levels, your GCSEs must include:

• Five GCSEs at grades 9 - 4.
• Three of these must be at grades 5 and above, including English Language.
• Two further GCSEs at grade 4 including Maths.

*BTEC Level 2 qualifications are not accepted in place of GCSEs.

To do four A Levels, you will need seven GCSEs at grade 7 or above, including a minimum of two GCSEs at grade 8 or 9.

Please note: Sixth Form does not accept A Level restarts or retakes.
