WHAT WILL I STUDY?
Core modules:
- Biological Molecules: You'll explore the building blocks of life, understanding the complex molecules that constitute living organisms.
- Cells: The study of cell structure and function will reveal the intricate workings of life's basic units.
- Organisms Exchange Substances with Their Environment: This topic will help you understand the dynamic interactions between organisms and their surroundings.
- Genetic Information, Variation, and Relationships Between Organisms: You'll delve into the genetic basis of life, exploring how organisms inherit traits, evolve, and relate to one another.
- Energy Transfers in and Between Organisms: You'll examine how organisms obtain, use, and transfer energy, a crucial aspect of survival.
- Organisms Respond to Changes in Their Internal and External Environments: Learn about the mechanisms organisms use to sense and respond to environmental changes.
- Genetics, Populations, Evolution, and Ecosystems: This topic covers the principles of genetics, the dynamics of populations, evolution, and the structure and function of ecosystems.
- The Control of Gene Expression: You'll study how organisms regulate the activity of genes, affecting everything from development to disease.
