Capital City College Group (CCCG) is celebrating once more as it has been announced as a finalist in two award areas for the prestigious Association of Colleges (AoC) 2023/24 Beacon Awards. The AoC Beacon Awards aim to highlight the wide-reaching impact that colleges have both on their students and the communities they serve.
After achieving Beacon Standard and receiving Commended Status in two award areas, CCCG was named as a finalist in the following areas during the AoC National Conference on 14 November:
CCCG’s position as one of three finalists for The City & Guilds Award for College Engagement with Employers is the result of the college’s uniquely collaborative strategy for providing Londoners with exceptional, industry-driven, and adaptive training – particularly when engaging underrepresented groups in the Digital and Creative sectors.
The AoC Award for Widening Participation Award recognises CCCG’s groundbreaking policy of providing all adults with free education up to Level 2 through a diverse range of free short courses. The 620 courses on offer have positively impacted the lives of adult learners across London and beyond.
The winning colleges will be announced at an awards celebration event in Spring 2024.
