We are delighted to announce that Ambitious about Autism and Capital City College (CCC) will continue to work in partnership to deliver excellent education to autistic young people across the region.

Ambitious about Autism runs Ambitious College, a specialist day college for autistic young people aged 16–25, which is situated at CCC’s Tottenham campus.

When its current lease ends in 2027, Ambitious College will relocate to the Montagu Building, based at CCC’s Enfield campus, located a few miles north of the current site at the Tottenham campus.

This is an exciting opportunity to create a purpose-built learning environment for autistic young people. The new site in Enfield will be situated within the heart of the main college campus, ensuring autistic students are fully part of the college community. This will provide increased opportunities for shared learning between students, as well as the chance to improve understanding of autism and inclusion through staff collaboration, knowledge-sharing and training.

Nicola Hawkins, Head of College at Ambitious College, said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Capital City College as we look towards this exciting new chapter for Ambitious College. The move to the Montagu Building will enable autistic young people to access both learning and vocational opportunities alongside their peers in the mainstream college, whilst receiving the person-centred, specialist support they need. We are very proud of everything this partnership has achieved and look forward to building on its success.”

Ambitious about Autism and Capital City College look forward to continuing our successful partnership, which is helping autistic young people to learn, thrive and achieve.

Sharon Wallace, Assistant Principal at CCC’s Enfield campus, said: “We are incredibly proud to partner with Ambitious about Autism (or Ambitious College) in opening this purpose-built space at our Enfield Campus. This partnership represents the true value of inclusion – creating an integrated community of learning where every learner is seen, supported and empowered to thrive.

“When learners from different backgrounds and experiences come together, it enriches the learning environment for everyone and helps build understanding, confidence and opportunity across our whole college community. Together, we are creating a world of possibilities for all learners, equipping them with the skills, ambition and resilience to take on the world and shape successful futures.”
