Accounting Academy

Accounting and Business

The Employer Skills Academies Programme aims to support Londoners hardest hit by the pandemic in good work in sectors key to London’s recovery and long-term economic growth, as part of the London Recovery Programme. It will do this by providing financial support for the coordination and quality marking of training in London (including adult education) and the provision of bespoke support to help newly skilled people work in our priority sectors.

We provide free training opportunities and support packages to help Londoners get a job in the Accounting sector. We do this by providing bespoke flexible learning programmes to fit individual circumstances and availability. We aim to give them the confidence and skills they need to be employable within 3 to 5 weeks, and a guaranteed job interview with an employer who is accredited with the Good Work Standard.

Our Accounting Academy is run in partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and is validated by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and is internationally recognised.

The Accounting Academy offers a Level 2 pre-apprenticeship qualification to prepare learners for the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, which usually takes between 18 months to two years to complete. After this, they can progress to the Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Accounting Level 4 to set them on the way to becoming a chartered accountant.

The pre-apprenticeship programme starts in September, January and April each year and provides you with the accounting administration skills learners need for an apprenticeship and develops leadership and coaching skills through a Sports Leaders Award with the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.
