We spoke to CCC BTEC students during their recent results day to learn how their exams and assessments reflect their progress and where they’re headed next.

Last month, a number of Capital City College (CCC) received their BTEC results following exams and coursework submitted in January. We spoke to four BTEC students at our King’s Cross campus after they had received their result to learn about their BTEC assessment experience and their future plans.

Joyce

Joyce is a Health and Social Care Level 1 student at CCC.

“So far, exam results day was amazing. Before, I was really anxious and nervous. I even had a nightmare, I was so scared. But then I got the bus, went to my Assistant Principal and asked for my exam results. I passed – I’m so happy. I saw my teachers and they were so delighted to see that I passed. I’m going into year two now and I’m probably going to go to uni or do an apprenticeship.”

Kenzie

Kenzie is a 19-year old Applied Biomedical Science, who is also Student Vice President at CCC’s Angel campus.

“I’m feeling good about the results. [I got] a decent result and I’m happy about that – my hard work paid off. I’m excited for the future and continuing to work hard. In the future I want to study medicine, become a doctor.”

Rio

Rio is a Sports and Exercise Science student.

“I got a distinction both in nutrition and physiology. Quite happy about that. I want to go into exercise physiology, working with athletes, working in the healthcare and medicine industry, I want to improve the level of athletes, maybe working with the diet, the nutrition training programmes, maybe even giving supplements or different kinds of medication. These sorts of things are really interesting to me as well, but I also want to do some roles as a running coach and personal training.”

Hulya

Hulya is a second year student at CCC, studying Level 3 Health and Social Care.

“At first it was a difficult subject because straight from GCSEs, I didn’t know how to do it. But currently it’s going well. I’ve just gotten my results today. I’m not the happiest with them, but I know there’s something I can do about it, so I’m not too upset about that. In the future, I would like to be a psychiatrist. I have an offer to study psychology at the University of Greenwich, so I’m really excited for that.”

Congratulations to all students on your excellent BTEC results!
