
Our Supported Internship programme provides you with the opportunity to enter the world of work. The programme is designed so that those with additional support needs aged 16-25yrs old (with an EHCP) have the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed in their chosen industries.When you are on the programme, you will: Be placed with an employer for a minimum of 5 months From term two, be on placement for 5-12 hours a week with your personal Job Coach who will make sure you get the correct assistance and support in the workplace. Lessons, workshops and tutorials are front loaded to equip interns with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their work placement Study work-related numeracy and literacy Have the option to enrol on GCSE or Functional Skills courses in English and Maths alongside the Supported Internship Study employability skills to develop your skills in team working, communication, job applications, how to manage your time and much more Receive personalised travel-training support according to your needs Participate in tutorials and enrichment activities Employability drop-in during the third term to promote positive progression opportunities Receive three months' of additional employability support from Job Coaches which includes CV writing, interview skills, applications and sourcing a positive progression routeWe aim to give you the opportunity to gain the experience, skills and qualifications that are valued by employers.
You will learn Functional Skills, Employability, Enterprose, Life Skills, Personal & Social Development, Drama, Wellbeing. Functional Skills at Entry level will be embedded in all course components.
You need to be between 16 and 25 years old and have an Educational & Health Care Plan (EHCP), looking to move into paid employment at the end of the course.

If you are aged 16-24 and have an EHCP, the course will be free.
At the end of the programme we help you in securing further study or supported internships.
