Start Your Own Digital Business (Digital Skills Academy)

Discover the path to entrepreneurship with this expert-led course! Engage in weekly online sessions via Teams, complemented by extensive work on your business plan and research. This course empowers you with essential skills and insights to thrive in the digital business landscape.

Throughout the programme, you will undergo initial training needs analysis, online skill scans, and practical activities to develop a clear vision, proposition, and purpose. Dive into marketing strategies, digital business models, and the essentials of networking and selling. Learn to create and manage a website, understand SEO basics, and prepare a compelling sales pitch. With assessments and reviews, personal development skills will be honed, ensuring you're ready to launch and grow your digital business.

This course consists of 5 sessions. There will be a break on 2 September.

You will need to be eligible to study in the UK. Upon enrolment, you will be asked to upload residency and income documents for college funding purposes.

This course is for 19+ adults who are GLA residents only. This course is free if you earn under £27,000.

Free unless earning over £28,860pa (then £70)

Upon successful completion of the course, you can progress to further study in this area.
