Essential Digital Skills for Work

This course will give you the tools for your career and help you stay competitive in today's workplace. Almost every job today requires some level of digital competency, whether in retail, healthcare, education, or office work. The course will cover practical, everyday digital skills that employers value, helping to progress in your career or future study.

What you will learn:

• Managing information and digital content
• Creating and editing digital documents (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Online communication and collaboration (email, Teams, Zoom, etc.)x
• Digital safety and security at work
• Using online services effectively and safely
• Problem-solving with digital tools
• Understanding digital responsibilities in the workplace

Please be prepared to provide your residency documents, such as a passport, Evisa / Sharecode, UK Birth Certificate or Biometric Card. If you have been in the UK for less than 3 years or have entered the UK with a visa, you will need to provide evidence that you are eligible to study in the UK and your EVisa, Biometric card, or any relevant Home Office documents to support your residency covers the duration of your course. For funding purposes, we would need to see evidence of payslips if working (within the last 3 months). If you are receiving benefits, please provide evidence of this (e.g JSA, ESA, Universal Credit (UC).

Free unless earning over £28,860pa or not yet achieved a Level 2 in ICT (then £150).

Upon successful completion of the course, you can progress into further study in this area.
