This course will help improve your understanding of current legislation and the key principles surrounding equality and diversity. You will also study the importance of equality and diversity across different contexts and gain an understanding of the issues affecting them in today's society.
The UK is culturally diverse and respects and values differences among people, with legal requirements for organisations to follow to help ensure discrimination is eradicated and expectations of equality are met. A good understanding of the wide-ranging legislation is essential to creating a workplace centred on fairness, dignity and respect.

There will be an in-person (BKSB and free writing test).
At the end of each course, you will complete Functional Skills tests (paper-based or online options are available) and receive a nationally recognised certificate from Pearson Edexcel. Exams are held at the college premises. English Functional Skills has three sets of exams: Reading, Writing and Speaking and Listening, and Maths has one exam, which includes both calculator- and non-calculator-based questions.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will achieve a nationally recognised qualification, which can help you progress into further study in this area.
