Angel Shed’s 20th Anniversary Celebrations Are Underway

CANDI’s resident theatre company, Angel Shed, is celebrating its 20th anniversary with an exciting timetable of performances and events.

Angel Shed Theatre Company is currently celebrating 20 years of providing inclusive performing arts for children and young people with a range of events and fundraising activities.

Based at City and Islington College’s (CANDI) Centre for Business, Arts and Technology, Angel Shed is a charity that creates inspirational and outstanding youth-led theatre. The charity provides a safe space for children to express themselves, develop confidence and take an active part in the creative process.

To celebrate reaching this impressive milestone, Angel Shed is hosting an array of events across 2023 and 2024, including special performances, screenings and a celebration event.

Angel Shed aims to raise £20,000 to mark its 20 years of providing inclusive, high-quality training to children and young people. There are a number of fundraising events taking place, including a pub quiz, a staff marathon entry and numerous other exciting events. For those wishing to support the charity directly, donations can be made on the Angel Shed’s PayPal donation page.

The funds raised will help the charity provide support for participants, their families, and volunteers. Angel Shed hopes to maximise its impact by ensuring that as many young people can participate in activities regardless of their situation.

Thousands of children and young people have taken part in our performances and weekly sessions, while many thousands more have participated in holiday workshops and community projects.
