Gaining a qualification in Sport and Exercise Science can prepare you with the skills and knowledge required to work within a range of fields such as Physiotherapy, Fitness Instructing, Psychology, Nutrition and Sports Massage. Working within these fields can lead to opportunities to work with elite-level athletes across a range of sports.

We have bespoke facilities with a sports science laboratory, fully equipped gym, sports hall and outdoor pitch, and our dedicated staff will advise and support you on this chosen pathway.

Our courses provide a thorough grounding in the practical and theoretical aspects of Sport and Exercise Science, as well as applying what you learn to the different industries and sectors of employment. They provide an ideal introduction if you are considering studying Sport and Exercise Science at a degree level and are a great first step to a career in the growing sports and leisure industry.

Areas covered can include anatomy, sports injuries, sports psychology, nutrition, fitness testing, practical sports, and physiology. All students will undertake relevant work experience to develop the skills needed to work in the sector with outstanding employers such as The Gym Group.
