Skin Needling - Level 4 Certificate

The Level 4 certificate in Skin Needling is designed for qualified beauty therapists wanting to specialise in cosmetic microneedling treatments. It will provide you with the clinical knowledge and practical skills to perform professional skin needling for scars, wrinkles, and skin texture improvement, as well as skin rejuvenation.

Modules can include:

• Principles and practice of non-medical aesthetic therapies
• Advanced consultation for non-medical aesthetic therapies
• Advanced skin care for non-medical aesthetic therapies
• Provide cosmetic skin needling treatments

You will need:

• To be aged 19 or above
• Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification or Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments (essential)
• English Language Proficiency
• Good speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills are essential for safe practice, client consultations, and accurate record-keeping

Assessment to include:

• External theory examination
• External practical examination
• Assignment/project work
• Clinical case studies

Adults - Level 4

This course may be free or reduced-cost for you if you meet certain conditions:

• If you are not working or have a low income. You need to show proof of your income or benefits.
• Residency rules apply. You need to show you have permission to live, work and study in the UK without conditions.
• There are some exceptions, such as certain visa types.

If you do not meet the residency rules, you can still enrol on the course but you may have to pay some fees. All applicants are fee-assessed during enrolment.

If you are not eligible for a free or reduced-cost course, you need to pay the full fee yourself, or apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

The primary purpose of this qualification is to prepare you for employment in the advanced non-medical aesthetic industry, providing skin needling techniques. Additionally, you may choose to further develop their knowledge and skills by completing supplementary specialist qualifications at level 4 in one or more of the following areas:

• Skin peeling
• Radio frequency
• Ultrasound

 You will be qualified to perform cosmetic skin needling in aesthetic clinics, medical spas, high-end salons, or your own practice.
