The Level 5 Certificate in Non-Surgical Aesthetic Procedures for Skin Rejuvenation is an advanced qualification for Level 4-qualified practitioners aged 19 and over who are ready to elevate their expertise and specialise in advanced non-surgical skin rejuvenation.

Designed for professionals with an established foundation in aesthetics, beauty therapy, or a related discipline, this qualification develops the advanced clinical knowledge, practical competence, and professional confidence required to deliver high-level skin-rejuvenation treatments safely and effectively in a clinical environment.

You are required to complete all mandatory units that cover the competencies and professional standards set by recognised regulatory and industry bodies. This ensures practitioners can clearly demonstrate their competence, commitment to public safety, and adherence to agreed standards of professional practice.

The qualification fully integrates current professional guidance for non-surgical aesthetic procedures, with strong emphasis on clinical professionalism, health and safety, and risk management, preparing you to work confidently within regulated aesthetic environments.

Mandatory units include:

• Principles of non-surgical aesthetic procedures
• Client assessment for non-surgical aesthetic procedures
• Advanced skin science for non-surgical aesthetic procedures
• Complication management and emergency plan implementation
• Provide advanced chemical peels for skin rejuvenation
• Provide advanced skin needling procedures for skin rejuvenation
• Provide needle mesotherapy procedures for skin rejuvenation and hair restoration
• Provide LED phototherapy for skin rejuvenation

A core focus of this qualification is the recognition, management, and prevention of complications, alongside the implementation of robust emergency protocols, ensuring treatments are delivered safely, ethically, and effectively.

This certificate is designed to prepare you for advanced clinical practice in non-surgical aesthetics and progression within the professional aesthetics sector.

You will need:

• To be aged 19 or above
• Prior Qualification – the following:
• Level 4 certificate in non – surgical aesthetics procedure for skin rejuvenation
• English Language Proficiency
• Good speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills are essential for safe practice, client consultations, and accurate record-keeping

Assignment includes:

• Summative external theory examination
• Formative case studies
• Summative practical observations
• Working on paying clients

Adults - Level 5

This course may be at a reduced-cost for you if you meet certain conditions:

• If you are not working or have a low income. You need to show proof of your income or benefits.
• Residency rules apply You need to show you have permission to live, work and study in the UK without conditions if you live in London, or 3 years before the start of the course if you live outside London.
• There are some exceptions, such as certain visa types.

If you do not meet the residency rules, you can still enrol on the course but you may have to pay some fees. All applicants are fee-assessed during enrolment.

If you are not eligible for a reduced-cost course, you need to pay the full fee yourself, or apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

The primary purpose of this qualification is to prepare you for employment within the advanced non-surgical aesthetic industry, specifically in the provision of skin rejuvenation treatments.

In addition, you may choose to further develop their knowledge and practical skills by completing supplementary specialist qualifications within the higher-level beauty and aesthetics suite.

This qualification is designed to support progression towards the VTCT Skills Level 7 Certificate/Diploma in Non-Surgical Aesthetic Injectable Procedures. The progression pathway begins at Level 4, advances to Level 5, and culminates at Level 7, providing comprehensive knowledge and practical skills at each stage of aesthetic practice. This structured pathway supports a seamless transition into higher-level training and professional expertise.
