Cutting Women's Hair - Level 2 Certificate

This course will help you develop your practical skills in the creative art of cutting women’s Hair. You will also develop underpinning knowledge on how to carry out effective Consultation Services for Clients and to follow all Health and Safety aspects of the services.

Mandatory units:

• Follow health and safety practices in the salon
• Client consultation for hair services
• Cut women’s hair

All units have Exams and or Assignments attached alongside practical Assessments.

You will need:

• To have a good understanding of English at Level 1 or higher, enabling you to sit exams and complete assignments
• Any Level 1 Qualification previously achieved in any subject
• Be able to commit to the 12-week programme of study

You will be assessed through practical observation, online exams and completed assignments.

Adults - LEVEL 2

This course may be free for you if you meet certain conditions:

• If you are not working or have a low income. You need to show proof of your income or benefits.
• If you are aged 19-23 and you do not have the equivalent of five GCSEs at grade 9-4. You need to show us proof of any qualifications you already have.
• Residency rules apply. You need to show you have permission to live, work and study in the UK without conditions.
• There are some exceptions, such as certain visa types.

If you do not meet the residency rules, you can still enrol on the course but you may have to pay some fees. All applicants are fee-assessed during enrolment.

If you are not eligible for a free or reduced-cost course, you need to pay the full fee.
