

This course is accredited by CPCAB.
The course will develop your understanding and practice of therapeutic counselling based on an integrative theoretical model.
You will set up an agency placement during the first part of the course and will also undertake a minimum of 40 hours of personal therapy during the course.
We offer an Integrative Psychodynamic Diploma; you will need to have passed Level 2 and Level 3, and have a basic knowledge of psychodynamic theory.

All applicants must have an interview and assessment to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
Demand for this course is very high, and we are unable to guarantee all applicants a place on the course.
Whilst we do make every effort to accommodate learners' preferences relating to timetabled groupings, please note, it is not always possible to achieve this.
For your assessment, you will produce a portfolio of case studies.
All learners are required to complete client hours in placement. This two-year course requires that learners complete a minimum of 100 hours.
You must complete 51 hours of face-to-face client hours as a minimum.
You must have secured a placement in January 2027 in year 1.
You should have at least 25 of the 51 required hours of face-to-face client hours completed in year 1.
All 100 placement hours must be fully completed and signed off by your supervisor by May 2028.

If you do not meet the residency rules, you can still enrol on the course but you may have to pay some fees. All applicants are fee-assessed during enrolment.

Tuition Fees
Total course cost: £4,670 (Funded - learner must meet criteria) plus a learner contribution of £600.00 = £5,270.00.
Additional Costs
In addition to your tuition fees, there may be additional costs associated with your programme, such as day trips/excursions, e.g. visits to employers or exhibitions. You may incur additional travel costs and, on some occasions, entrance fees.
On completion of this course, progression to further higher-level courses, such as the Counselling: Psychotherapeutic - Level 5 Diploma, will provide you with a broader knowledge of the industry.
