ABOUT
This course will introduce you to the world of digital computing and media, helping you develop the skills and confidence to explore creative opportunities.
Throughout the course, you will explore a variety of digital media platforms, techniques, and concepts, including general computing, concept art, game design, and animation. You’ll have the chance to experiment with different creative tools and develop a strong foundation in digital practices, allowing you to discover your unique artistic style and interests.
Through engaging, practical projects, you will learn how to communicate ideas effectively using digital media. The course encourages critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving, helping you understand the power of visual storytelling and the impact of digital media on society. You’ll also gain valuable technical and creative skills that will support your progression into further study or a future career in the creative industries.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?
Modules can include:
- Essential digital skills
- Microsoft applications
- Creating a website
- Designing an interactive presentation
- Creating an animation
- Creating ideas for computer games
- Digital art
- Developing Maths and English
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
You will need:
- Four GCSEs at grade 2 or above or Entry 3 qualification in Computing
All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
COURSEWORK REQUIREMENTS
Assessment is continuous throughout the year and based on assignments and projects.
FEES
AGED 16 - 18
If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31st August 2025 before the start date of the course, and you have the legal right to remain in the UK for the duration of your course then your study with us will be free.

Adults - ENTRY LEVEL/LEVEL 2
This course may be free if you meet certain conditions:
- If you are not working or have a low income. You need to show proof of your income or benefits.
- Residency rules apply. You need to show you have permission to live, work and study in the UK without conditions.
- There are some exceptions, such as certain visa types.

If you do not meet the residency rules, you can still enrol on the course, but you may have to pay some fees. All applicants are fee-assessed during enrolment.
If you are not eligible for a free or reduced-cost course, you need to pay the full fee.
