We offer a range of maths courses to help you develop the number skills you need for work and everyday life - even if you've been out of education for a while. If you've already studied Maths at Entry Level, progressing to Level 1 and Level 2 can help you progress in your learning. We will ask you to complete an assessment to help us choose the right level of teaching for you. Functional Skills are widely recognised across all sectors of employment and can be a stepping stone to GCSE.
You will take part in a range of activities to refresh and develop your maths skills, building your confidence in dealing with numbers, including money, measurements and graphs.
All applicants must have an entry assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
Your progress will be monitored in a variety of ways and we offer a range of qualifications to demonstrate your achievements.
If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course may be free, depending on your circumstances. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. Many of our students are eligible for financial support when studying at college – please click here for more information.
