You will go on a variety of trips and take part in a range of extra-curricular activities, from football to first aid.
We will also help you develop employability skills, with many of our students also having the chance to volunteer or gain work experience. Careers guidance and discussions about your next step are an important part of the course.
You will receive lots of tutorial support to help you on your course.
ESOL courses provide you with a thorough introduction to the English language, covering all four skills - listening, speaking, reading and writing. You will also be able to improve your grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
You will also study maths as part of the course.
All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
Your skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing will be assessed through examinations, and your tutor will advise you when you have the language skills needed to pass the exams.
You will also take a qualification in Functional Skills maths.
If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, it will be free.
