ABOUT THE COURSE

This qualification covers a range of essential and higher-level accounting techniques and disciplines. Students will learn and develop skills needed for a range of financial processes, including maintaining cost accounting records, advanced bookkeeping and the preparation of financial reports and returns.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

Topics covered can include:

  • Business Awareness
  • Financial Accounting: Prepariog Financial Statements
  • Management Accounting Techniques
  • Tax Processes for Business

WHAT WILL I NEED?

You will need:

  • AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting - minimum Merit Grade
  • GCSE Maths and English Grades 5 and above or Functional Skills Level 2 in both Maths and English

All applicants must have an interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

You will be continuously assessed through skills tests and 4 extrnal assessments.

WHAT WILL IT COST?

AAT one-off registration fee (UK students) - £225.00 and the cost of text books/workbooks for each unit within the qualification.

WHAT CAN I DO AFTER?

After completing AAT Level 3, you could enter a range of financial careers or progress to the Accounting (Technician) AAT Level 4, Diploma in Management Studies, or other professional qualifications.
