About the Course

Facilities Management involves providing a quality and cost-effective maintenance and care service for a wide range of commercial and public buildings, such as hotels, hospitals, office and shopping complexes, arenas, educational or convention centres.

The Apprenticeship has been designed to up-skill current workforce and attracts more young people into Facilities Management. Intermediate apprentices will work as multi-skill Facilities operatives, reporting to Facilities Managers, and will undertake a variety of duties depending on customer and organisational requirements.

Entry criteria

There are no formal entry requirements, but candidates should be working over 30 hours per week. All candidates will need to attend an information session before starting the programme. All candidates will need to undertake a literacy & numeracy assessment prior to starting the apprenticeship training.

How is the apprentice assessed?

Apprenticeships are assessed by classroom study coursework and assessments along with on-the-job practicals.
