Learn the roles in film, why we make short films, how to budget, get actors, locations, crew. How to fund short film. Have a peek at various roles in the film and decide which department you want to work in when we shoot.

You will get an IMDB credit and credit on the film to help your career whether entering or re-entering after having a family or career change.
We are favouring those who have had experience, either studied film or design, costume hair and makeup etc, at college or have already made 1 or more films in the past.
There are 20 places. These are not places for actors, we are looking for film crew.
You will need to complete an expression of interest form and agree to the following to complete the course: I agree to attend in person ALL the days as above and 2 or 3 of the zoom sessions as detailed above. I understand that though this course is Free, not attending lets others down who wanted to attend and did not get a place and the team who want to make this film. Film is team work.
Please be prepared to provide your residency documents such as a passport, EU citizen ID card, UK Birth Certificate or Biometric Card. If you have been in the UK for less than 3 years or have entered the UK with a visa you will need to provide evidence that you are eligible to study in the UK - your visa, your biometric card that covers the duration of your course or any relevant home office documents to support your residency should all be uploaded. If you’re an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen we will need to see evidence of 'Pre-Settled' or 'Settled-status' documents. Also for funding purposes we would need to see evidence of payslips if working (within the last 3 months). If you are receiving benefits (e.g JSA, ESA, Universal Credit (UC), Housing benefits etc. please bring evidence of this).
Upon successful completion of the course you can progress into further study in this area.
