
This one year course allows you to learn, develop and practice skills needed to progress into Site Caprentry. You will learn how to use natural materials to install wooden fixtures and fittings in our well- equipped workshops. As well as studying on the course, you will have the opportunity to go out on work experience to understand how you can apply your skills and knowledge to the 'world of work'.
In this one year course you will cover all of the following topics:
You will need to have 4 GCSE's at Grade 3 or above, including English and/or Math or a relevant Level 1 Qualification in the construction industry.
You will be assessed through multiple online exams through City & Guilds, practical assessments and short written tests at the end of each topic.
If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, it will be free. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. This qualification allows you to progress onto employment or onto a relevant Level 3 Qualification.
