This course will help you develop your skills and knowledge for studying or working in business, enterprise, marketing, finance or accounting, specialising in either marketing or finance in the second year. Emphasis is on understanding why business skills and knowledge are important, particularly in a work-related environment. You will attend master classes and Q & A sessions with industry experts, visit companies and exhibitions, take part in enterprise activities and competitions and network with industry and former students about their experiences.
Extended Diplomas have two one-year programmes. You need to finish the first year before moving on to the second.

The course is assessed throughout the year with work placement observations, in-class tests, presentations, projects, reports, essays and externally assessed exams. You will be required to pass all external exams, complete all coursework and receive positive feedback from your work placement officer to achieve your qualification.
If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31st August prior to the start date of your course and you have the legal right to remain in the UK for the duration of your programme then your study with us will be free. Please see here for the documents you will need to show us.

If you will be aged 19 to 23 prior to the start date of your course, and do not already have a full Level 3 qualification, you may be eligible for a Level 3 entitlement, in which case your study with us will be free. If you are older, or already have a Level 3, we have many other Level 3 courses that are also free to study. Otherwise, you will have to pay the fees yourself or apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

Beyond the classroom, Tricia has worked for various companies, the most enjoyable being the Commonwealth Institute Marketing and Public Relations Department and McGraw Hill, Standard, and Poor's Platts Division. Tricia is also an entrepreneur with a track record of successfully establishing small businesses. Their ventures include Amazon FBA enterprise, Bookkeeping, Web Design, and Business consultancy, and soon-to-be a presence on Kindle Direct Publishing and Etsy platforms. The knowledge gained has allowed her to apply real-world business principles to her teaching and provide learners with the option of setting up their online businesses.
