Brickwork - Introduction (Enfield Construction Skills Academy)

During this bricklaying course, you will learn to lay bricks safely and professionally to a good standard, enabling you to carry out small bricklaying tasks.

Areas covered on the course may include:

• A basic introduction to the tools and their uses
• Health and safety within the industry
• Learn brick bond types and usage
• Understand block types and uses
• Build and understand building corners
• Mixing mortars and additives
• Lay mortar beds for bricks and blocks 
• Understand brick types and uses
• Types of jointing and finishing
• Plumb, level and range

Please have your residency documents ready, such as a passport, Evisa/Sharecode, UK Birth Certificate, or Biometric Card. If you have been in the UK for less than 3 years or have entered the UK with a visa, you will need to provide evidence that you are eligible to study in the UK and your EVisa, Biometric card, or any relevant Home Office documents to support your residency covers the duration of your course. For funding purposes, we would need to see evidence of payslips if working (within the last 3 months). If you are receiving benefits, please provide evidence of this (e.g., JSA, ESA, Universal Credit (UC). 

Free if your income is £28,860 a year or less.

£75 if your income is more than £28,860 a year.
