About

As an Apprentice Chef with Hilton, you will be working towards a Commis Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship standard over the course of 15 months.

What will I be doing? 

An Apprentice Chef will also be required to undertake all reasonable duties as assigned by the Head Chef.   

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:  

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food to the highest standard  
  • Contribute to high levels of customer service  
  • Comply with Health and Safety and Food Hygiene regulations  
  • Complete all aspects of the apprenticeship programme  
  • Work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends

Remember, you will be on your feet all day! You will be working in a hot and busy kitchen. You will work a rota that may include weekends and evenings. Please research the location and consider your commute time and cost before applying for the role.

Training

Training includes:

  • On-the-job training 4 days a week and also 1 day a week at Capital City College's Westminster Centre
  • Commis Chef Apprenticeship Standard
  • Functional Skills English and Maths at Level 1, progressing to Level 2
