ABOUT
Vocational Studies in Computing - Level 1 Extended Certificate
Designed to be taken over one year, this diploma offers learners the opportunity to study a range of units from different sectors in the suite, supporting progression onto further study.
The purpose of these qualifications is to develop the transferable skills, attributes and behaviours needed for learners to progress to further study and ultimately to employment. The qualifications are designed to be delivered in an applied way, bringing together appropriate content with practical and technical skills.
As a Level 1 qualification, the pass standard requires learners to complete routine, simple and directed tasks by applying their knowledge and skills. It is expected that learners complete tasks fully under supervision, direction or with guidance. At merit and distinction levels, learners may be expected to complete tasks in greater detail or with greater confidence or independence. Designed to be taken over one year.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
You will need:
Four GCSEs at grade 2 or above or an Entry 3 qualification in Computing.
All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
COURSEWORK REQUIREMENTS
Assessment is continuous throughout the year and based on assignments and projects.
FEES
AGED 16 - 18
If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31st August 2025 before the start date of the course, and you have the legal right to remain in the UK for the duration of your course then your study with us will be free.
