ABOUT

Supporting Teaching and Learning - Level 3 Diploma

This qualification provides learners with an in-depth understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and young people in school and college environments. It covers all aspects of specialist support, including planning, delivery, and reviewing assessment strategies to support learning alongside the teacher: bilingual support, special needs support, personal development, and reflective practice.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

To achieve this qualification, learners must complete 16 mandatory units.

This is a nested qualification. Qualifications within a nested suite allow learners to be topped up to a qualification that is the same level and subject within the Award, Certificate and Diploma structure.

This means that additional applicants who have already successfully achieved an NCFE level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning can enrol onto this course and complete the additional 5 units to top up to the full Diploma.

Applicants who have not completed any part of this qualification will complete the entire course over the year.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Learners must be working in the sector of have a placement for two days per week.

Previous success with NCFE level 2, Supporting teaching and learning is required.

COURSEWORK REQUIREMENTS

This qualification is assessed internally through a written assignment and a practical observation.
