Skin Peeling - Level 4 Certificate

This Level 4 qualification prepares you to offer professional chemical peel services. Upon completion, you’ll be qualified to perform AHA, BHA, and TCA peels in aesthetic clinics, medical spas, and high-end salons.

This qualification is part of a new suite of Level 4 advanced non-medical aesthetic therapy qualifications, developed as a progression route for Level 3 practitioners who wish to expand their treatment portfolio in specific non-medical aesthetic modalities.

Throughout this qualification, you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology and health and safety pertaining to level 4 non-medical aesthetic therapies. You will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to consult with and analyse clients whilst providing skin peeling treatments.

In parallel, you will develop your communication and customer service skills and broaden your knowledge of the principles and practices of level 4 non-medical aesthetic therapies, all of which are highly valued by employers.

Modules can include:

• Principles and practice of non-medical aesthetic therapies
• Advanced consultation for non-medical aesthetic therapies
• Advanced skin care for non-medical aesthetic therapies
• Provide skin peeling treatments

You will need:

• To be aged 19 or above
• Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification or Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments (essential)
• English Language Proficiency
• Good speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills are essential for safe practice, client consultations, and accurate record-keeping

Assessment to include:

• External theory examination
• External practical examination
• Assignment/project work
• Clinical case studies

Adults - Level 4

This course may be free or reduced-cost for you if you meet certain conditions:

• If you are not working or have a low income. You need to show proof of your income or benefits.
• Residency rules apply. You need to show you have permission to live, work and study in the UK without conditions.
• There are some exceptions, such as certain visa types.

If you do not meet the residency rules, you can still enrol on the course but you may have to pay some fees. All applicants are fee-assessed during enrolment.

If you are not eligible for a free or reduced-cost course, you need to pay the full fee yourself, or apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

The primary purpose of this qualification is to prepare you for employment in the advanced non-medical aesthetic industry, providing skin peeling techniques. Additionally, you may choose to further develop your knowledge and skills by completing supplementary specialist qualifications at level 4 in one or more of the following areas:

• Radio frequency
• Skin needling
• Ultrasound

You will be qualified to perform cosmetic skin peeling in aesthetic clinics, medical spas, high-end salons, or your own practice.
