

Professional Accounting Technicians - Level 4 Diploma
AAT Level 4 Diploma in Professional Accounting equips you with expert skills and knowledge, preparing you to become a fully qualified accounting technician. The course is run as a day release programme over 18 months. The topics covered in this course will give you the opportunity to learn how to complete professional accounting tasks, including drafting financial statements, managing budgets, and evaluating financial performance.

All units are externally examined via computer-based assessments.

If you do not meet the residency rules, you can still enrol on the course but you may have to pay some fees. All applicants are fee-assessed during enrolment.
If you are not eligible for a free or reduced-cost course, you need to pay the full fee yourself, or apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

The total course cost is £2,573
There will also be a one-off AAT registration fee of £258.00 plus the cost of textbooks per unit. The cost of textbooks will depend on the individual publishers. The one-off registration fee provides lifetime access to the qualification, typically for four to five years.
Upon completion, you can work in accounting roles, or work towards chartered accountancy status with one of the professional bodies such as ACCA, CIMA or ICAEW. You can also choose to progress to University to further your studies in Accounting.
