WHAT WILL I STUDY?
Modules can include:
- Fundamentals of programming and coding using industry-standard languages
- Software development lifecycle, including planning, design, testing, and deployment
- Web development (front-end and back-end basics)
- App development principles and user interface design
- Database design and data management
- Cybersecurity principles and safe coding practices
- Problem-solving and computational thinking skills

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
You will need:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 7 or above, including English and Mathematics
- A strong interest in computing, programming, and digital technologies
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Commitment to completing both classroom learning and an industry placement
COURSEWORK REQUIREMENTS
Assessment of the T Level Software Development course is conducted through a combination of exams, employer-set projects, practical assignments, and performance in industry placements. You will complete externally assessed core examinations to test your knowledge and understanding of the digital sector, alongside practical projects that reflect real workplace scenarios.
Assessment also includes coursework, programming tasks, presentations, and professional discussions, allowing students to demonstrate both technical skills and employability skills developed throughout the course.
FEES
AGED 16 - 18
If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31st August 2025 before the start date of the course, and you have the legal right to remain in the UK for the duration of your course then your study with us will be free.
