ABOUT THE COURSE

This 2-year course offer a combination of classroom and workplace learning, designed with employers, to give you the skills that industries need. They are ideal if you want to get hands-on experience and learn skills that will get you a job in a technical profession. Within the T Level Technical Qualification in Digital Production, Design, and Development, students can acquire a broad spectrum of knowledge and hands-on skills pertinent to the dynamic realm of digital design. This extensive curriculum empowers students with essential competencies vital for success in digital design endeavours.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

Problem-solving: Employ problem-solving skills to analyse issues and propose solutions that can be translated into computer programs and digital design.

Introduction to programming: Acquire the skills to design, comprehend, write, and debug program code, solving practical problems that could constitute either standalone solutions or components of larger programs.

Emerging issues and impact of digital: Apply an understanding of ethical and moral issues within the digital sector across various business scenarios, and investigate the impacts of technological advancements on organisations, individuals, and society.

Legislation and regulatory requirements: Use comprehension of legal matters within the digital domain across various business contexts.

Business context: Delve into the business environment, exploring the significance of addressing customer and end-user needs and understanding business requirements.

Data: Understand how organisations utilise data to fulfil business needs. 

Digital environments: Grasp the workings of physical data storage and recovery systems, including their features, advantages, and limitations.

Security: Recognise the changing nature of digital products and the factors that drive change. Identify the stages involved in the software change management process and understand how to support software users.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

  • 5 GCSE grades 5 and above
  • A Level 2 qualification in Computing

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

You will be assessed by external exams and Industry projects.

Aged 16-18
