
The Level 2 Creative Media Production ( and Technology Diploma will give you the fundamental skills and techniques used within creative media production.
You will learn about the creative process, presentation skills, and other various media activities such as using DSLR cameras, lighting, and sound equipment – including green screens.
The course aims to provide you with an introduction to a broad range of creative skills, from Audio, Visual and Interactive based projects. Students will complete four projects based around creative media.
Previous projects have included App Design, Advertising Campaigns, Graphic Design, Gaming Sounds and Technologies, Trailers, Motion Graphics and Photography
You will be studying the following units:
Unit 1: Introduction to creative media methods and skills
Unit 2: Introduction to production techniques in creative media
Unit 3: Understanding an Audience in Creative Media Production
Unit 4: Contextual Research for creative media production
Unit 5: Exploring Audio Production and Technology
Unit 6: Exploring Video Production and Technology
Unit 7: Exploring interactive media production and technology ideas.

All applicants must have an assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
The structure of the qualification means that it is 100% coursework, you will be assessed through summative and formative set assignment briefs from different creative disciplines as well as having an opportunity to work on live briefs.
Towards the end of the year, you will have to complete a formative
self-initiated project (FMP - Final Major Project), based on your chosen creative pathway.
If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, it will be free. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course may be free, depending on your circumstances. This course leads to further study or progress to Media or Games and Animation at Level 3 or employment.
