ABOUT THE COURSE

The T Level in Finance is equivalent to three A levels.

This course is tailored for students who have an interest in pursuing a career in Finance. In the first year, you'll develop the fundamental skills required for various financial roles and explore a variety of potential specialisations within the industry. Here's what you can expect:

  • Gain insight into the business environment and its relevance to finance
  • Explore different career paths within finance and accounting professions
  • Learn about security and risk management in financial contexts
  • Understand the importance of data-driven innovation/analytics in shaping finance
  • Engage in design thinking exercises to tackle real-world financial challenges

Throughout the course, you will develop essential skills such as research, analysis, project management, professionalism, and ethical decision-making within the finance industry. Your learning experience will involve:

You will have access to dedicated T Level rooms and state-of-the-art facilities on our campus, including the latest financial software to support your learning journey.

In the second year, you will specialise in retail and commercial banking.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

You will need:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs grade 4 or above including Maths and English. Preferable grade 5 in Maths and 5 in English

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

You will complete a set of written exams and an employer-set project in June of the first year.

You'll also have to complete an externally set assignment that covers the specialist area of Retail and Commercial Banking Analyst at the end of the second year.

WHAT WILL IT COST?

Aged 16-18
