
This course will equip you with an understanding of basic payroll procedures and also those who wish to become professional payroll processors. You will develop the skills required to prepare, check, and use source documents from which the payroll is processed, using a computerised payroll system as dictated by Real Time Information requirements. You will also develop skills that will enable you to gather the required information in order to prepare an employee payroll record using either the HMRC Basic PAYE Tools kit or commercially available payroll software. The course will also teach you how to calculate the gross pay due to employees from a simple range of information sources and for either weekly or monthly pay periods.

All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
There are four assessments, which must be passed, to achieve the qualification:
Entry Level, Level 1, Level 2
If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, your course may be free, depending on your circumstances. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. Mark Dunne joined CCCG in November 2019 where he was teaching all levels of Accounting AAT at CONEL and CANDI. He is now a permanent, valued member of staff at CANDI in Finsbury Park where he specialises in Financial Accounting teaching. Mark's academic achievements include a Bachelor of Arts (HONS) in Business and Finance from the University of Wales, a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Greenwich and a master’s in education from the University of Nottingham. He is a part-qualified Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.
Mark has been teaching for more than 30 years but has also amassed a range of work experience in the financial services and accounting sectors. This included six years working for a high street bank, two years working as a Mortgage Consultant and six years as Finance Director of his own business- Kantep Limited. This was an animation business working with higher education professionals to produce animations of scientific work which was multi-national with mainly European customers and technical employees who were based in the Far East.
Mark has travelled the world and has worked in a top university in Thailand for six years as a tutor of improving skills for graduates to attain top-level positions in multi-national companies, he has worked in New York for a charity for a year and has also worked for one of the top global law firms in Paris for a year.
