In the second year, you will build upon this knowledge, as well as covering processes to support organisations, relating your studies to the world of work.

Extended Diplomas have two one-year programmes. You need to finish the first year before moving on to the second.

This course consists of two separate qualifications. In your first year of study, you will work towards the Level 3 Foundation Diploma. HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

The course is assessed in three forms: external, internal and synoptic.

The below units are external assessment examinations and tasks:

  • Examinations - Information Technology Systems

Most of the other units are assessed internally through coursework tasks, such as:

  • Writing up the findings of your own research
  • Using case studies to explore complex or unfamiliar situations
  • Carrying out projects (for which you have choice over the direction and outcomes)
