
This initial teacher training qualification gives you an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training, how to plan and deliver inclusive teaching sessions and how to assess and give constructive feedback.
You will gain the knowledge and skills needed to progress as a teacher or trainer in the further education and skills sector.
This course is offered as blended learning, a mixture of classroom and online learning.

You will need to have achieved a qualification and/or have experience in the subject area you wish to teach, at the appropriate level. In addition, you will need literacy at the appropriate level, including the ability to read and interpret written tasks and organise written information clearly and coherently.
All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
There are three units that are divided into sections and assessed by means of assignments, one of which is a 20 minute micro-teaching session.
If you will be aged 19 or older on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, you may be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover the cost of your course. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips.
