
This course covers an overview of the sciences - Physics, Biology and Chemistry - and is taught through a mixture of lectures, individual and group activities, practical activities, discussions and presentations. If you have a passion for science, this course will give you the skills, experience and knowledge needed to study at a higher level.

All applicants must have an initial assessment and interview to confirm that the course is suitable for them.
The course is assessed throughout the year with assignments and written tests.
If you will be aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August in the year you begin your course, and have been resident in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years, it will be free. Some courses will have other costs associated, such as for materials and trips. This course will help you to move on to higher level courses, such as Science - Level 3, an apprenticeship or other employment.
