About the Course

This 6-week teacher-led intensive, starting March 10, 2026, is specifically designed to empower women by providing a professional development "workshop" environment. Rather than just studying theory, you will step directly into the 01Founders CodeLab, a pre-configured space where you will work on real-world code. Guided by expert instructors, you will learn how to navigate complex projects and contribute to a team, giving you a true taste of a developer's daily life. By the end of the journey, you will earn a College Certificate and have the technical confidence to pursue a career in software engineering.

What Will I Study?

Using the CodeLab as your primary workshop, you will master the essential toolkit of a modern developer:

  • Professional Workflows: Learn to use documentation and "Start Here" guides to navigate large-scale projects.
  • Full-Stack Development: Build new features and components for live applications.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and fix bugs within an existing codebase to understand how software fits together.
  • Version Control & Collaboration: Master Git and GitHub to manage your code and collaborate with your peers.

Quality Assurance: Run automated tests to check for mistakes and ensure your code works perfectly before deployment.

What Will I Need?

We welcome beginners who are curious and motivated! While no formal coding qualifications are required, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Skills: A basic appreciation of logic is essential for coding. You must also have conversational English skills to follow technical instructions and collaborate with your team.
  • Age: You must be 19 years or older as of the course start date.
  • Location: You must currently live in a London borough.

**Funding & Status: To qualify for this funded course, you must demonstrate your right to live and work in the UK and provide documentation regarding your income or benefits status if applicable.

Cost
