Whether you're just starting out or want to refine your editing skills, this course is your gateway into the world of post-production. Across this comprehensive and practical course, you'll develop essential editing skills using industry-standard tools, while also building wider employability, critical thinking, and digital literacy. You’ll work through hands-on mini-projects, guided tutorials, and independent research to explore everything from basic editing techniques to professional-level colour grading, compositing, and effects. 

By the end, you’ll have produced your own short film or demo reel, showcasing your new skills and creativity to future employers or clients. 

• Create and manage project folder structures 
• Import and organise clips 
• Trim, arrange, and export video projects 
• Add titles, transitions, and use the graphics workspace 
• Apply audio corrections and use keyframes 
• Work with chroma key and screen compositing 
• Execute colour correction and creative colour grading 
• Use masks, tracking, and blending effects 
• Understand essential editing and film terminology 
• Learn principles of compositing and visual storytelling 
• Explore the creative choices behind editing decisions 
• Apply maths in timing, sequence arrangement, and file management 

You must be a competent IT user. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus. 

You will need to be eligible to study in the UK. Upon enrolment, you will be asked to upload residency and income documents for college funding purposes.
