
This course introduces you to the world of Game Design using Unreal Engine 5. You will take part in practical activities to create your own 3D Environment. This is a completely beginner-friendly course. It is designed to introduce you to Unreal Engine and provide you with practical, hands-on experience with industry-standard software. In this course, we will take you through the entire workflow and give you industry insights into how games are designed, from research and early concepts to production and post-production.
This course is ideal for those starting their journey into Game Design and those with some experience in the field. If you are a student currently studying Games Design or Development, or thinking about studying 3D games design, this taster session will take you through the basic tools and give you further insights into the project pipeline of a video game production, and how to open pathways into games industry careers.

This course is designed for complete beginners; learners must have sufficient IT knowledge to operate a PC and follow instructions independently. Being able to access online resources (Teams, OneDrive) and browse the internet comfortably is essential. Those with some experience with 3D modelling may also join the course if they wish to get more hands-on experience or prefer in-person tutoring.
You will need to be eligible to study in the UK. Upon enrolment, you will be asked to upload residency and income documents for college funding purposes.
