
This course will give you the knowledge you require to develop your Understanding of Domestic Retrofit and how it relates to industry.
The course consists of 6 weeks, once a week, and you will be awarded a level 2 accredited qualification upon completion. Once completed, you will be introduced to reputable employees in the industry who will share job opportunities, work experience or apprenticeship, and then you will be able to work towards a career in the retrofit industry.
This course will be your first step in upskilling to meet the retrofit demand. The course will introduce you to retrofit, equipping you with knowledge of key technical refurbishment topics that are crucial to successful retrofit programmes.
Please be prepared to provide your residency documents, such as a passport, Evisa / Sharecode, UK Birth Certificate or Biometric Card. If you have been in the UK for less than 3 years or have entered the UK with a visa, you will need to provide evidence that you are eligible to study in the UK and your EVisa or Biometric card or any relevant Home Office documents to support your residency covers the duration of your course. For funding purposes, we would need to see evidence of payslips if working (within the last 3 months). If you are receiving benefits, please provide evidence of this also (e.g JSA, ESA, Universal Credit (UC).

Upon completion, you will gain an understanding of what domestic retrofit is, what it is supposed to achieve, what you need to know when working in the industry, and what to look out for when installing energy efficiency measures in homes. The course is designed to improve the employability of learners.
